That said, gish (fighter/mage) characters tend to handle lost levels better, so Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight end up all right. How it works: through Eldritch Theurge radial menu I open up a Configure Spellblast menu, set spells ( Grease, Fireball, etc) to Quickslots 1-4, activate Quickslots, pop up message shows, for example, "Spellblast- Fireball". I'm a big fan of Wings of Flurry (a Sorcerer-only blasting spell that does force damage and dazes) and Wings of Cover (a Sorcerer-only spell that gives you total cover for a round).
